The tool (1) has an interface (7) for connecting the tool with a machine spindle of a machine tool, and an infeed mechanism (13) arranged in a base body (3) of the tool. The infeed mechanism causes infeed of a cutter body (39) with the help of a transfer element (41), where the cutter body is arranged in a replaceable processing part (5) and is provided with geometrically indefinite or geometrically certain cutting edges. A force measuring unit i.e. piezoelectric force measuring unit (15), is arranged in the base body. The processing part is designed as a shot-blasting device for forming a hole on a thermal coating, as a precision boring machine or as a chamfering tool. An independent claim is also included for a method for processing a hole.
