Composite material comprises a metallic fibrous non-woven fabric and/or a metal grid, a polymer matrix and microcapsules with a capsule core made of latent heat storage material and a capsule wall comprising a polymer, distributed in the polymer matrix. The composite material is obtainable by contacting the metallic fibrous non-woven fabric and/or the metal grid and an organic reactive binding agent comprising the microcapsules, and hardening the binding agent. Independent claims are also included for: (1) producing the composite material, comprising contacting the metallic fibrous non-woven fabric and/or the metal grid and the organic reactive binding agent comprising the microcapsules and hardening the binding agent by crosslinking reaction or by polymerization; (2) a sheet-like component obtainable by applying a polyurethane compact layer (i) and a polyurethane hard foam layer (ii) on a metal covering layer (iii) and applying a second metal covering layer and optionally an additional polyurethane compact layer between the adjacent layers (iii) and (ii); and (3) producing the sheet-like component, comprising applying a layer (B) made of the composite material and the polyurethane hard foam layer (ii) on the metal covering layer (iii) and applying the second metal covering layer and optionally a further layer made of the composite material, between the adjacent layers (iii) and (B).
