A system, method, and computer program product are provided for determining one or more contact points between a pair of objects. In operation, a first contact standard is identified between a pair of objects at a first position. In addition, a relative speed of the pair of objects at the first position is determined. Furthermore, one or more contact points between the pair of objects at a second position are determined by a translation analysis, using the first contact normal and the relative speed.
