The switchboard (3) has interfaces (4) connectable with interfaces of position controller and pneumatic actuator assembly (1) and changeover switch (12) to selectively set safety position of actuator by selectively interchanging connection of chambers to air channels. The pneumatic terminals of one interface are connected to pneumatic terminals (9,10) of interface so that chambers are connected to preset air channels in one position of switch. The connection of pneumatic terminals of interfaces is interchanged so that chambers are connected to other air channels in other position of switch. An independent claim is included for assembly of electro-pneumatic position controller and pneumatic actuator.
