The system (10) has a positive temperature co-efficient (PTC) resistor (42) connected with an interface (38) for attaching a control unit (36) of a tank lorry. A backup sensor is attached to an evaluation unit (12) that is connected with the control unit between the interface and the PTC resistor of a single tank (26a). The evaluation unit is connected with the interface by an optical coupler (20). The evaluation unit releases or disrupts a refueling process by pressurizing the control unit depending on signals of the PTC resistors of the single tank.
