The device has a storage unit (8) for laundry basket, which is connected with a mounting sleeve (5) over a pivot arm (7) through a pivot joint (10). The mounting sleeve is engaged with a bar (2) of a rotary laundry dryer (1) in longitudinally displaceable manner. The mounting sleeve is pivotable around the bar of rotary laundry dryer. The rotational axis of the pivot joint is parallel to the pivot axis of the mounting sleeve. An independent claim is included for device for hanging laundry.
