The device (1) has a fastening device fastening a heat exchanger (1) at a human body, where the heat exchanger comprises a hot circuit (21) and a cold circuit (11). The hot and cold circuits of the heat exchanger comprise average negative net heat flux. The hot and cold circuits are spatially disconnected from each other. A time-dependent temperature control unit of the heat exchanger controls time-dependent variation of integral net heat flux. The fastening device is formed as a garment, a jacket or a trouser. An independent claim is also included for a method for increasing energy consumption of a human body.
