The device (1) has two hydraulic strands (6, 8) connecting two hydraulic workspaces (4, 5) with two hydraulic gas storages (7, 9). The workspaces are separated from a piston (3). A conveying device (10) displaces a hydraulic unit between the hydraulic strands. One of the hydraulic strands is hydraulically coupled with the gas storages using a spring brake (21). A spring element (24) drives a separator piston (22) in a storage cylinder (23). The conveying device is arranged between ports (12, 13) of a delivery line (11) and damping devices (14, 15).
