The method involves arranging cell assemblies (2,3) in housing base portion (7) of an accumulator housing. The housing base portion is closed with a cover mold (11) and a thermal isolating filling material (M) is filled into an inner space formed between the housing base portion and cover mold such that the filling material is filled between cell assemblies and housing base portion, and between cell assemblies and cover mold. The cover mold is removed after hardening the filling material and a housing cover is connected with housing base portion. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) device for manufacturing electrochemical accumulator; and (2) electrochemical accumulator.
