The lining (5) has an elongated decoration component (22) formed between an upper plate (25) and a step-like bottom plate. The decoration component comprises a design surface (22M), which lies exposed to an inner side of a vehicle cabin, where the decoration component is held and fixed between the plates. A top flange and a bottom flange are arranged away from an upper and/or lower end section of the decoration component along backward direction. Another top flange is arranged upwardly away from an end section of the former top flange.
