The device (1) has an attaching unit for being fastened at a motor car (4) and comprising a tool-free detachable quick fastener for attaching a signal body (2) at the car in a position projecting from the car. The quick fastener has a deformable clamping portion whose shape is adapted to a body gap of the car and clampable in the gap by closing a body part e.g. motor car door, trunk lid, crank wheels and/or sliding roof. The quick fastener has a flexible gripping piece formed as a clip. The signal body is formed as a soft foam part and a symbolic figure such as playing and/or running child.
