The method involves enabling machined processing of a partial region i.e. surface (16), of a workpiece (10). The partial region of the workpiece is treated by ultrasound grit blasting. The workpiece is held in a component support (14) of a machine tool (12) during machined process of the partial region and the ultrasound grit blasting. The partial region made of an effective region (22) of a machined processing tool (18) is brought into the component support in an effective region (26) of a grit blasting sonotrode (28) by motion of the support after machined processing of the region. An independent claim is also included for a machine tool for machined processing of a component.
