The method involves placing a pipe (18) in a test chamber (12) with two different corrosive liquids (26) such as electrolyte i.e. sodium chloride, in a form of aerosol for given period of time, where the aerosol is formed by an ultrasound atomizing process. The pipe is heated by a heating device (24) according to a given temperature gradient during checking the corrosion resistance of the pipe, where the liquids are aerosolized by an aerosolization device (28). A droplet size of the aerosol is set by variation of excitation frequency and/or by a filter element. An independent claim is also included for a device for checking corrosion resistance of an object.
