The system has a sensor (12) designed for detecting position of a vehicle (10), where signals of the sensor are transmitted to a control device (14) e.g. Proportional-Integral controller. The control device controls steering actuator (16), and a detection device (24) is provided to recognize existence of error functions of a component i.e. rear axle (26), of the vehicle based on a steering angle (22) that is adjusted by the actuator. A memory is utilized for storing a threshold value, where exceeding of the threshold enables finding out the existence of the error functions. An independent claim is also included for a method for testing a vehicle.
