The device (10) has a coil arrangement (14) for inductive heating of a metal component i.e. work piece (12). The coil arrangement is embedded into a molded body (16) made of solid material i.e. electrical insulator, where the material is selected from a group consisting of resin, plastic and ceramic. The body is formed with a contact surface (18) for the component so that the coil arrangement is extended up to the surface. An air-gap is partially formed between the body and the component. A distance-rod is embedded into the body and extended up to a surface of the body.
