The vehicle has a bonnet pivotally secured in a front region of a vehicle body by a hinge (6). The hinge is arranged relative to a wedge-shaped plastic guide element (7). The hinge is in contact with and guided on a wedge surface (7.1) of the guide element during horizontal movement of the bonnet such that the horizontal movement of the bonnet is partially changeable into vertical movement, where the horizontal movement is caused due to lateral front collision of the vehicle. The guide element is arranged between the hinge and an outer side of the vehicle.
