The tool i.e. two-piece press plate (1), has a push plate (2) including a U-shaped recess (4) with a support flange and inserted into an intermediate space between a wheel hub flange and a wheel bearing. An auxiliary plate (3) is in intervention between U-shaped legs (6, 7) with the push plate. The auxiliary plate has a semicircular recess (26) with a radial inward directed support flange portion. The portion together with the flange forms a circulating pressing surface in a mounted condition of the auxiliary plate, where the surface is in pressure contact with the bearing.
