Browser behavior is defined for the operating modes based on control functions e.g. rotating function, pressing function and pivoting function, of a central control element (1), and a current operating mode is determined when displaying an Internet site in a display unit i.e. motor car picture screen. The control functions are detected, and the specified browser behavior for the corresponding control function is executed according to the current operating mode.
