The car has an airbag device (2) e.g. pedestrian protection device, provided with an airbag housing (3) in a region of windscreen-side end of a front cover (1) such that an air channel (4) is arranged above the housing and below the front cover for feeding outside air to interior space of the car. The housing is secured with the front cover. The front cover comprises an outer layer (5) and an inner layer (6), which is secured with the outer layer so as to form a cavity (8) between the outer layer and the inner layer. The pedestrian protection device is formed as an air supply/water drain separation component.
