The radar device (100) has a storage unit for storing a measured mode vector. An angle of incidence of received signals is calculated under utilization of the measured mode vector, which is read out as mode vector from the storage unit. A mode vector generating unit has a covariance matrix calculating device for calculating a covariance matrix under utilization of output signal of a receiving unit. An independent claim is also included for an angle of incidence calculation method for a radar device.
