The installation has a lower tool (2) comprising a support surface (3) to receive a sheet blank (1) that surrounds a cavity (4) below which a stamping die (5) is arranged. An upper tool (6) comprises a support surface (7) fixed against the sheet blank placed on the lower tool. A base (9) is moved between a lower position in which an upper surface (9a) of the base is located below the support surface and an upper position in which the upper surface of the base is located at a level of the support surface of the lower tool, where the base is made of plastic.
