The present invention relates to a household food preparation appliance, comprising a top housing (1) which houses a motor (2) associated with a control device (9) and to a safety device (20), a working receptacle in which is disposed a rotating working tool, a cap disposed between the top housing (1) and the working receptacle, the safety device (20) comprising a detection element (30) provided to actuate a safety switch (21) allowing the operation of the motor (2) when the cup is in place between the top housing (1) and the working receptacle, the detection element (30) comprising a first detection element (31) which can be pushed back by the working receptacle, and a second detection element (32) which can be pushed back by the cup. According to the invention, the safety switch (21) is mounted on a plate (12) belonging to the electronic control device (9).
