The general field of the invention is that of gyrolasers for measuring the angular velocity or the relative angular position along a given axis of rotation. Such a laser gyrolaser comprises at least: a ring optical cavity (1); an amplifying medium in the solid state (2); a magneto-optical device with a non-reciprocal effect (12, 13, 14); arranged so that four linearly polarized propagation modes can propagate inside the cavity, the magneto-optical device introducing a frequency bias between the modes propagating in a first direction and the modes propagating in the opposite direction. In the device according to the invention, the cavity also comprises a stabilizing device (20) of the intensity of the four propagation modes at substantially equivalent levels, said device comprising at least one non-linear crystal crystal doubler optical element frequency.
