The wooden barrel (1) comprises longitudinal wooden planks such as staves forming skirting of the barrel, a lower or bottom wall, an upper wall (6), metallic rings (7, 8, 9, 10) encircling the skirting to maintain the staves in assembled position, an opening (12) formed in a bottom of the skirting and formed adjacent to the lower wall, and a frame (13). The staves comprise a lower mortice or groove and an upper mortice or groove. The walls comprise tenon shaped to fit in the mortices to define a sealed volume for vintage or wine. The wooden barrel (1) comprises longitudinal wooden planks such as staves forming skirting of the barrel, a lower or bottom wall, an upper wall (6), metallic rings (7, 8, 9, 10) encircling the skirting to maintain the staves in assembled position, an opening (12) formed in a bottom of the skirting and formed adjacent to the lower wall, and a frame (13). The staves comprise a lower mortice or groove and an upper mortice or groove. The walls comprise tenon shaped to fit in the mortices to define a sealed volume for vintage or wine. The bottom wall has an upper face facing towards interior of the barrel. The lower wall and/or the staves comprise rabbet for housing a peripheral seal joint. The rabbet is formed in the lower wall and in the staves extending in a plane of the upper face of the bottom wall, is configured for receiving a joint, and has a face placed with respect to the tenon of the lower wall. The rabbet formed in the lower wall is delimited by an inclined surface. The upper face of the tenon of lower wall is tilted up and down towards an exterior. The metallic rings are disposed at the assembly of tenon and mortice between the lower wall and the staves and disposed between the assembly and lower end of the staves. An edge of the opening includes the rabbet intended to receive the frame of the opening. The frame is equipped with a plate and embedded in a recess formed in the upper face of the lower wall.
