The device (10) has a depression chamber (18) whose internal pressure is lower than external pressure adjacent to oil spillage. A flexible/semi-rigid tubular unit (14) connects the depression chamber with the oil spillage. A sealing unit (20) is arranged between the depression chamber and the tubular unit. The sealing unit comprises a sealing chamber. The tubular unit passes through an inlet opening (36) of the sealing chamber. Annular sealing joints (40, 42) extend radially between a side wall and the tubular unit when the tubular unit is inserted into the sealing chamber. An independent claim is also included for a method for channeling oil spillage on a well or a submarine hydrocarbon exploitation drain.
