The roof has photovoltaic panels (5) supported by intermediate sections (6) connected with flanges (26) by connection units (8), and a frame covered by undulated seal pans (3). Spacing pieces (30) and ribbed pans (35) are provided between the seal pans and the panels. The spacing pieces and wooden crosspieces (32) delimit a reception space (E) to receive a thermal insulation material layer (36) made from glass wool. The ribbed pans and the panels delimit a ventilation space (V) communicating with exterior through gaps formed between the panels and openings at periphery of a slope of the roof.
