The device (1) has a sleeve (2) whose end (21) inserts a pin (9) inside the sleeve, and an opposite end (22). A blocking unit (3) locks the pin inside the sleeve. A rod (4) includes an end (41) fixed on the latter end of the sleeve, and free opposite end (42) forming a striking surface of a mallet or similar to realize insertion of the pin. A gripping unit (5) is assembled on the rod to draw manually on the rod to realize the extraction of the pin. The gripping unit is assembled in a removable manner on the rod. The gripping units includes two handles (51) extending on both sides of the rod. An independent claim is also included for a method for extraction of a pin.
