The method involves preparing a part i.e. tubular pipe (10), with two parallel basic strips (41a, 41b) close together on a portion (11) of a surface of the part, where the strips are non-continuous and provided with magnetostrictive properties. A coating magnetostrictive material (40) is deposited on the portion of the part to form the strips, where the material impacts the surface of the part in a form of powder. The coating magnetostrictive material deposited on the portion of the part is realized by dynamic cold projection.
