The method involves initiating a secure connection from a remote terminal (6) to interrogate a connection unit of a local terminal (5), where the connection unit is connected to a computing network (2) i.e. Internet, to communicate and transmit protected digital data (7) from the local terminal toward the remote terminal. The protected data is transferred from the local terminal toward the remote terminal after authentication of the terminals in a secure, optimized, automatic and schedulable manner.
