The system has a pulse energy source (17) formed by a laser diode located on a hairy surface (10) for generating pulse energy at level of hairs (11). The pulse energy is generated such that an assembly formed by the hair and a cavity behaves like an adiabatic system. The source generates the pulse energy in a punctual area (Z). The source generates light energy at frequency greater than specific value. A Fresnel lens focuses a beam on the hair such that the light energy is transported through the hair until the hair reaches a bulb for destroying the bulb. An independent claim is also included for a method for treating a hairy surface of person.
