The pack has a set of energy generating cells (11) e.g. Lithium-ion cells, forming a longitudinal cell arrangement (9). The cells are placed in the cell arrangement so as to connect a positive terminal of one of the cells to a negative terminal of the other cells. The cells in parallel are connected to the cells in series such that value of nominal current of the cell arrangement is equivalent to a number multiplied by nominal current and voltage of the cells, where the cell arrangement is fixed to the pack using a compression unit.
