The invention relates to a lattice element and a crane. The lattice member for a crane consists of four corner posts (11, 13) and zero bars (15, 16, 17) and diagonal bars (18, 19) connecting them, where at least a part zero and diagonal bars are pivotably hinged to at least one corner post. At least one displacement unit for executing the crimping movement is provided, where at least one drive is connected or can be connected to at least one displacement unit. The invention is applicable in the field of cranes.
