The lace has an elastic core embedded in a non-elastic flexible casing, where the lace acts as a pressure regulator. The casing is stretched under traction action applied to the lace for allowing passage of the lace in shoe holes (3). The casing is reformed by changing its initial diameter (D1) after realizing the traction action for maintaining clamping of a shoe by the lace. Micro elastic strands of the core and the casing permit adaptation and dispersion of maintenance of the shoe by the lace according to morphological variations of the foot in the shoe. The casing is formed of cotton fibers, NOMEX(RTM: flame-resistant meta-aramid material) or synthetic fibers such as polyester or nylon(RTM: synthetic polymer). The casing is constituted of rubber yarn filaments. An independent claim is also included for a lace fabrication method comprising an additional step of composition of the lace by fixing a metallic toecap to an end of the lace.
