The piston (1) has a lip (3) arranged at an upper periphery of a bowl (2). An upper part of the piston is arranged between the lip and an external edge (4) of the piston, and is indicated as a chase (5). The upper part of the piston is made of material deformed under an effect of pressure reigning in a combustion chamber located along a section (1a) with suitable thickness variations to generate inclination of the lip toward a bowl bottom and inclination of the chase toward the bowl during deformation of the piston. The upper part of the piston is in a form of a deformable blade.
