Each panel is manually removed from the vehicle independent of each other to be stored in a compartment (16) of the vehicle specially designed for receiving the panels. Each panel is positioned above each row of seats, where the panel is formed from a material e.g. fabric or rigid and lightweight composite. A locking device of the panels is located in a junction zone (15). An independent claim is also included for a roof module for installing a vehicle, comprising a rigid frame.
