The helmet has a main cap that covers a retractable visor (15), where a front side of the main cap is designed with lower strength defining a recess resembling to shape of the visor. A top cap is secured at the main cap to cover the recess. Visor movement elements (25) are located in a middle region of the top cap for displacing the visor to an inner position underneath the top cap and into an external position, where several intermediate positions are passed in each case. The visor comprises two cylinders, which are laterally arranged in the recess and moved within two guides.
