The mechanism has a displacement unit (2) displacing a door (1) in translation along an engaging direction orthogonal to plane of the door. The displacement unit displaces the door between a closing position and a pre-closing position of the door with respect to an access opening (101). Another displacement unit (3) displaces the door in the translation along a pre-closing direction orthogonal to the engaging direction. The latter displacement unit displaces the door between the pre-closing position and an opening position along which the access opening is released, and vice versa. An independent claim is also included for a box comprising a floor provided with two opposite walls.
