The boot (2) has a storage system (3) movable between a retracted position in which the system is retracted inside a spare wheel housing cavity (21) defined by a horizontal floor (20), and a deployed position in which the system is deployed outside the cavity, so as to allow storage removable rigid roof panels (11, 12) i.e. targa roof panels, of a motor vehicle. The system includes supports (51, 52) for supporting the roof panels, and guiding rails (41, 42) that are fixed on the cavity to guide the supports between the retracted position and the deployed position.
