The device (10) has supports (11, 12) i.e. portal frames, placed upstream of an aerial obstacle or electric firing. Two cables (13, 14) are carried by the corresponding supports at predetermined height. The cables are connected together by a mechanical fuse (34) such that the cables are disintegrated from one another if a part of the vehicle supports on one of the cables. A warning system (15) is arranged between one of the supports and the obstacle, and is connected to the cable. The warning system changes a visible state when the cables are disintegrated from one another.
