The assembly (10) has a rail unit (11) designed to be fixed on facades close to a lower edge (4.1) of rectangular openings. A slide unit (12) guides a guide covering panel (20) i.e. glass panel, in translation along the openings. The slide unit is designed to be fixed on the facade close to a top edge (4.2) of the openings. Each panel comprises a filler block (22) that is integrated to a frame (21). A first guiding body (23) is designed to cooperate with the rail unit, where second and third guiding bodies (24, 25) are designed to cooperate with the slide unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for covering an opening in a facade of a building.
