The device has a radio wave transmitter (20) communicating with a radio wave receiver (10) e.g. radio tag and passive radio receiver. An interrupting body i.e. aqueous body or metal body, is arranged between the transmitter and the receiver for controlling function of a vehicle by interrupting radio wave communication between the transmitter and the receiver. The transmitter is arranged under a clad layer of the vehicle. The receiver is arranged at a level of an instrument panel of the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for activating function of a vehicle.
