A charging system (1) comprises a service center (2), a standard vehicle (3A) and generic vehicles (3B). The standard vehicle collects the normal power consumption on a road segment and transmits it to the service center. The service center provides normal power consumption to the generic vehicle. In the generic vehicle, the amount of electricity required by the generic vehicle to reach a destination is estimated based on the normal electrical consumption received and a vehicle correction value specific to the generic vehicle. Thus, the processing load can be appropriately shared and the power requirement of the generic vehicle can be calculated accurately.
