The terminal (10) has a movement generator unit (17) housed in an inner space defined by an elongated body (11). A control unit controls the generator unit, and is connected with a communication module. The control unit actuates the generator unit based on detection of an event i.e. incoming call reception. The body has a lower end that forms a base (12) defining a rolling surface (S). The generator unit produces balancing of the terminal around an equilibrium position i.e. erected position, when the body is supported by the rolling surface on a plane surface of a rigid support e.g. table. An independent claim is also included for a telephone device comprising a telephone terminal.
