The sleeve (1) has an cast iron internal cylinder (2) to define a combustion chamber, and an external cylinder (3) made of a material whose dilation coefficient lies between 15x10 power-6 and 18x10 power-6xK power-1. The internal cylinder is assembled in the external cylinder. The external cylinder is made of copper alloy, and the internal cylinder is made of lamellate cast iron graphite, where the thickness of the internal cylinder lies between 2 to 7, and 3 mm, and the thickness of the external cylinder lies between zero to 9, and 1 to 2 mm. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an engine block includes a cylinder housing (2) a method for realizing a sleeve.
