The part (21) has a threaded projecting portion to receive a nut (31), and a coaxial annular tube (24) maintained against additional movement toward interior of a bore. A gauge pin (23) is extended into the bore inside the tube and anchored to the part at a point (28) within the bore, where the point is remote from an end of a body of the part than another point (29). A rotary washer (25) is pressed against interior of a head (26) of the pin by axial gripping of the part with an inner end of the tube, so as to prevent rotation of the washer when tension in the part exceeds a given quantity. An independent claim is also included for a method for indicating the load in a fixation part.
