The system has a single focusing optics (2) focusing electromagnetic radiation (100) obtained from a scene to be displayed and having a wavelength included in a spectral detection band extending between 400 nanometer and 1.7 millimeter on a visible sensor (3) and a short wave infrared (SWIR) sensor (4). A separation unit (5) directs a radiation (102) toward the visible sensor and another radiation (103) toward the SWIR sensor. A processing unit (6) comprises a merging unit for merging images (11, 12) from the sensors to generate a final image (If) transmitted to a display unit (7).
