The accessory (1) has a cylindrical housing intended to position the accessory on a cylindrical upright post (3). A thrust bearing is used for fastening the accessory on an internal face of a pole (7). A tail is mounted in the pole in a position based on a notch (6), where the tail exerts an application force on an pole for locking the accessory against a hook portion of the pole. The thrust bearing is respectively extended on two sides from the notch in an assembled position. The tail has a shoulder intended to position the accessory on an external face of the pole. An independent claim is also included for a method for locking an upright post of a closing element on a pole.
