Method for determining quantity of heat energy delivered by e.g. heating system of residential building, involves determining quantity of energy delivered by coolant system from power consumption of pump and coolant temperature difference
The method involves measuring temperature of coolant i.e. water, in a supply channel (4) and in a return channel (5) using temperature probes i.e. thermocouples (7, 8), and measuring power consumption of an electric pump (6) installed on the supply channel by an electric meter (9) connected to a supply wire. Quantity of heat energy delivered by a coolant system (1) is determined from the power consumption of the pump and temperature difference of the coolant between the supply channel and the return channel.
