The device has a stop-unit (3) interposed between a fixed part (1) i.e. fixed plate, and a movable part (2) i.e. movable plate, by an insertion movement or a release movement created during manufacture of a plastic part, so that a gap is determined between the fixed- and movable parts. The stop-unit includes a movable block (4), which is in contact with a fixed- and moving surfaces (5, 6) that are connected to the fixed- and movable parts, respectively. The movable block is formed as a metal beam extending over entire height or width of a mold at a parting line and a periphery of the mold. An independent claim is also included for an injection molding process for manufacturing a plastic part.
