The device has a locking tab support (208) for supporting a locking tab of a connector, and a retaining mechanism intended to be engaged in a part of a body (204) of a terminal portion (206) of a cable (200). A release arm releases the retaining mechanism of the body part of the terminal portion. Another retaining mechanism is engaged in another part of the body of the terminal portion, and another release arm is intended to release the latter retaining mechanism, where the retaining mechanisms are positioned in opposite directions.
